BACKED BY YEARS OF TRIALS AND DATA
Nutrient-dense citrus
It is one thing to talk about regenerative organic farming - it’s better for the earth, and in turn, we assume it’s better for our health. We wanted to actually PROVE it. Since we planted our citrus groves, we’ve been regularly testing to measure the life in the soil and then the fruit for nutrient density that results.
NUTRIENT DENSITY TRIAL
We tested our fruit against grocery store citrus. "Grocery store citrus" was taken from two commercial groves located in the same area. Their fruit was grown with conventional practices (pesticides, synthetic fertilizer, bare ground).
The same varieties were harvested and compared the same day by Eurofins, a USDA Certified lab in North Carolina.
THE RESULTS
TURNS OUT, WE'RE NOT YOUR AVERAGE PIECE OF CITRUS.
AND THAT'S JUST THE BEGINNING
In 13 of the 15 flavonoids, carotenoids and vitamins tested, our citrus had substantially more nutrients than it's conventionally grown counterpart.
